Rick Hartley here.
I’m a member of Assumption Catholic Church in the San Marco area of Jacksonville. Except for time away in the Navy and ten years in Atlanta, I’ve always lived in northeast Florida.
I was married to Mary Luker for 42 years before her death in 2018. We had a son and a daughter, both of whom live in Atlanta.
I am engaged to be married to Kriss Herndon on June 4th. We met following weekday mass last year. We are truly blessed to have found someone to spend our final years together.
I was in the Navy for 3 years and 27 years in the Naval Reserve, retiring as a Master Chief (E-9). I have lots of “sea stories”. My family has a printing company in Jacksonville and I was a salesman for 40+ years.
I’ve always been interested in government and politics. I’ve volunteered for a campaign every election cycle since I was 22. After the 2000 election mess I became involved in Republican Party politics. I’ve served in various local party positions and on the State Republican Executive Committee and then was Chairman of the Republican Party of Duval County. I’ve been the campaign manager for several races. Even with my past party activities, I am committed to electing the candidate that can best represent my values, regardless of party.
It frustrates me when voters don’t have proper information to make an informed decision. I intend to work with our team to provide information to help Catholics vote with confidence.
I invite you to join me as we navigate this election season.
